This special day celebrates the legacy of local artist Walter Hook as well as those of our many talented area artists. ORIGINAL WALTER HOOK paintings on loan from private collectors and a JUDITH PARKINS fabric art piece "Reclamation," inspired by the Clark Fork River cleanup and restoration, will be displayed in the Library from 10AM – 4 PM.. Also featured is the history of RUANA KNIFE WORKS, a Montana tradition since 1938. www.ruanaknives.com

MONTE DOLACK joins the festivities. His Gallery Talk in the Library 1:30 – 2:30 PM focuses on his art work including Witness to Change, a piece honoring the Milltown Dam and the restoration of the Clark Fork River. www.dolack.com

Throughout the school the COMMUNITY ART MARKET features an array of quality art pieces by local and area artists. It’s a rare opportunity to see and purchase sculptures, paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, metal art, and much more at a unique community event.

Bonner School will conduct art workshops for kids and adults and there will be special entertainment throughout the day.
Enjoy snacks and lunch served by Bonner School students to benefit the Close Up program (students travel to Washington, D.C.).
February 9 is a wonderful day to see and purchase art; experience fun activities, and visit with old and new friends and neighbors!
Hooked on Art is FREE and open to the public. Sponsored by Friends of Two Rivers and Bonner School.

Call to Artists: An important part of Hooked on Art is the Community Art Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. As the sponsoring organizations, Friends of Two Rivers and Bonner School welcome you as an exhibitor and look forward to an exciting, interesting, and varied event. Please join us!

Please write or call for a registration form: Mary Erickson, Event Coordinator 10225 Rustic Road Missoula MT 59802 We’ll need some information to allocate space and determine needs for tables, chairs, etc. The school has limited display furnishings, so exhibitors are asked to furnish their own tables if possible. If not let us know A.S.A.P.

Questions, phone Mary at 258-6930 An entry fee, a donation of $15, should be included with your registration form. Please make your check payable to Friends of Two Rivers. All proceeds from the event will go to the Bonner School art department. Spaces are approx. 8’x 8’ although the ones in the center of the gym are a bit deeper.

Artists are encouraged to donate a small item for our Door prizes to be given away in the later afternoon. Hopefully this will help to not only hold the crowd but generate enthusiasm for those who may be later arrivals & shoppers.

Setup time on February 9th begins at 8:00 A.M. The display area will primarily be in the gymnasium but there may be some space in the halls also. A map of space layout will be available the 9th and I will be there to assist you in finding your spot & setting up.

Sales may be conducted on your own; neither Bonner School nor FOTR will be involved in sales in any way. We just wish you a successful & very enjoyable day!
