Participants will meet at the Milltown State Park Overlook and take in the views of the confluence before heading down to the restored Clark Fork River floodplain. There, join local community members and park staff in some moderate trail work constructing the floodplain loop. Tools will be provided but please bring hiking boots and work gloves. Visitors can also just come to learn about the site’s history. Snacks and drinks provided, and kids are welcome!

National Trails Day is coordinated by the American Hiking Society, an organization working to protect trails, their surrounding environment and “the hiking experience.” For more information, go to www.americanhiking.org.  June also happens to be national Great Outdoors month, so lace up your hiking boots and meet us at one of Montana’s newest state parks!
