Q: What happened to the Powerhouse generators?

A: The original 1905 generator is in storage until the time when it will be on public display at the Milltown State Park. The other generators were sold to work in other power facilities.

One of the former Milltown generators began producing power again on April 6, 2011on the Indian River Hydro site on the Westfield River in Massachusetts.  Generation was permanently shut down at Milltown on April 7, 2006 so nearly 5 years to the day one of them is generating power again.
