What's better than a cup of hot cocoa on a winter's day? Soup and cookies! Local folks braved the snow and cold on the winter solstice to enjoy fellowship in the festive Lions Den at Hellgate Lions Park.
The first day of winter didn't dampen the good spirits of the celebrants. Kids and adults alike crafted candy cane reindeer, mini-gingerbread houses and ornaments, and embellished sugar and gingerbread cookies lavishly with frosting, sprinkles, and a healthy dose of imagination. Even the birds will be enjoying a winter feast at pinecone feeders made especially for them.
